The home offers a large lounge that is used for group recreation activities and two smaller, more cosy lounges often used as retreats for those residents less enthusiastic about activities. These also act as delightful areas where guests can and often are entertained. The dining room overlooks the well tended rear gardens through patio windows. Well trained staff frequently offer drinks and snacks to residents and these are served either into the lounges or to residents bedrooms.

There is a choice of menu every day and the emphasis is on good home cooked English cuisine. We use a lot of local produce and never provide convenience foods. There is always a choice and the home is happy to take suggestions and try out more exotic foods or non English dishes. Special diets such as diabetic needs or low salt diets are also catered for. The home has many single rooms and each bed room is tastefully decorated. They are often complemented by furniture and pictures brought in by residents, making them very personal and a true home for the residents living there.

Clarendon Manor has been recently refurbished and major changes have been made with the addition of a lift. One can relax in any one of the three lounges or participate in the activities organised by care staff. Some residents enjoy a stroll around the gardens or simply relax on the terrace or by the pond and chat with friends and relatives.
